The couple recalls that while they were all geared up for their pre wedding photo-shoot, they prearranged to live in tree house style in the Machan. While discussing the minute details of their day, they walked back to their decked up room. Down on his knees, Aditya asked out Disha. The couple engaged in January 2018 with the wedding scheduled for the beautiful month of December in God’s own land, Kerala. This wedding was precisely planned from scratch by the couple as it also gave moments of love and friendship to blossom.
As the days unraveled, the couple planned each day with a luxurious event planned for their destination wedding in Kerala. Each wedding event was centered around a theme. The merriment of each event was a fun and frolic experience for the “baraatis”. Inborn with the western connect, Aditya devised all his outfits himself. The Bride on the other hand, carefully tailored and designed her outfits keeping the Kerala wedding style in mind. Ranging from the Kerala sarees, designer suits to wedding hairstyles and Keralite jewelry.
She also made sure that the members of both the families were dressed in similar hues and colors to compliment the theme well. Both the families dressed up traditionally in Kerala sarees and lungis. This wedding in Kerala was hence a combination of all customs and traditions rigidly bound.
The wedding invitations cards & stationery, including artifacts like logos and other creatives were curated and designed by the couple themselves. These minute details were the very essence of this wedding in Kerala.
Draped in a “Kasavu” (cream colored Kerala saree with a golden border) the bride looked stunning. To enhance her look, was Aditya who was dressed up in a “mundu” (white sarong-style dhoti) with his shirt which gave him a traditional groom look.
With the Keralite Destination wedding falling in place, the couple decided to incorporate the local look and adorned the family members in traditional Kerala outfits followed by the customary luncheon party consisting of local
delicacies. They welcomed the guests to the locale, authentically using the coconut leave garlands, “chenda melam” and tikka on the forehead.
With Disha’s yearning for the beaches, water and all things beautiful, her bridal mehendi ceremony was themed around all things florid and intricate with hues and shades of pink, blue and sea green. With Disha’s floral jewelry set & Subarna Devendran outfit with a flower patch work, she made a show-stopping entry with Aditya who designed all his outfits himself.
Ranging from the western encompassed house boat photo shoot on the beautiful backwaters of Kerala to the personalized bridal Mehendi, everything focused around the couple and their exclusive life journey full of love, distance and bounding for each other.
Set across colors of emerald green and golden, the cocktail gala at this wedding in Kerala had to compliment the couple’s love and passion for traveling. Adorned beautifully in a Kalki Fashion apparel, Disha made a statement look with her makeup by Yashika Panchal. With Morocco set as their honeymoon destination, the couple gave the guests a fair parade of the Moroccan culture using intricate Zelij patterns, lanterns, Fez hats, etc. across the dance floor, backdrops and the overall décor.
The bride and groom dance stole the show with their sensational theme based performances at their wedding in Kerala, with their respective squads. The performances revolved around the longevity of the duos’ relationship varying through distance, love, happiness and their magical settlement in upstate, New York. The choice of the exemplary bollywood songs did a justice to the formulated theme. Along with a few other classics like “sau asmaan”, “tenu leke mai jawaan”, “pardesiyan” and others on the playlist that set a rhythm for this wedding in Kerala in every perfect way.
After an intimate Ganesh Puja the next morning, the families hosted the haldi ceremony and an eccentric Sindhi wedding ritual.
Something that the entire groom battalion had been waiting for, the ritual of tearing the groom’s clothing came in hand. For this event, the bride was draped in a quixotic onion pink designer wedding lehenga by Jiya by Veer design studios. Complementing the look was her golden and pink necklace. And, with an alluring makeup by Yashika Panchal. Like all the other wedding events, the groom looked dashing in his self curated outfit which was a traditional pink sherwani in ewith a coordinated cream turban and dupatta around his neck.
As the bride was to move in to the city of New York, with her groom based out there, this final event has rustic wedding reception decorations set across in colors of burgundy & blue with a western vibe to mark the end of the 2 days beautiful destination wedding in Kerala.
To wrap up the events at this beauteous wedding in Kerala, and to finally melt into the rustic vibes, the couple marked their way towards the western lifestyle. Dressed up in yet another set of captivating outfits, the couple complemented each other’s look.
The bride wore a burgundy color gown by Innara by Priya which completed the Groom’s look in the suit by HPsuits. Adding to the glam were the diamonds which Disha wore with the subtle touch of makeup. To give the entire event a fusion touch was the band and the campfire which allowed guests to roast marshmallows. It also allowed them to loosen up and unwind themselves in the tranquil atmosphere.
With all the events and celebrations falling right into place, our contemporary couple was all ready to settle down in New York. A blend of traditions, customs and cross cultures, this Kerala wedding was a perfect mix with twice the fun.
