Meet Somi & Yash
College romance is the best if it lasts forever! Our Jain bride Somi and Punjabi groom Yash met in college and have been in love since then. Keeping all that intercaste wedding hurdles aside, all that is mirthful is this Mayfair Raipur Wedding finally happened!
The Floating Proposal
So, Yash planned a surprise proposal for Somi and decorated the pool of their private villa in Orange County, Coorg. There in the pool were hundreds of rose petals floating along with ‘Will You Marry Me’ balloons. Leading Somi to the beautifully decorated venue with her eyes covered, Yash went down on one knee and popped the question. And that’s when #SomisaidYash came into the picture!
Oh So Lovey-Dovey Pre-Wedding Shoot at Coorg
Coorg itself is a very picturesque location to have a pre-wedding shoot at. It’s greenery, cotton candy clouds, and skyscraping hills give you a lot of options for pre-wedding shoot locations at Coorg. Ombre by HJ, Somi & Yash’s photographer suggested they must get their shoot done at the falls at the Tamara Coorg and other beautiful shoot locations falling around it. For all her photoshoots, Somi had many dresses to prettify herself. She wore a peach fishtail gown, white lehenga with multicolored floral choli, a green velvet gown, and an elegant white dress with golden buttons. Like wife, like husband! Yash had amazing sets of formals to wear for the shoot.
An Elegant Roka Ceremony at Home
Be it any caste, Roka is the foremost ritual in every wedding. For Somi & Yash, the family arranged a small function at Somi’s house. To look subtle yet elegant, our Jain bride wore a pink net saree with minimal golden shimmer and adorned the look with a white and golden choker. What made her Roka day special was her getting dolled up by her very own mother in law, Meenakshi Tuteja.
The Boisterous Bachelorette Party Before the Grand Mayfair Raipur Wedding
Best friends who are with you there at your marriage are the ones who stay forever! Somi’s BFFs arranged a bashing bachelorette party at W Goa. From hot dresses to coordinated bathrobes, these ladies gave us major BFF goals.
Mehendi, to Start With the Mayfair Raipur Wedding Vibe
After the pre-wedding shoot, the bachelorette, and all those pre-wedding ceremonies now was the time to kickstart this destination wedding in Raipur. To hit her Mehendi ceremony, Somi wore an olive-colored lehenga embellished with multi-colored sequin. Ignoring the trend of flower jewelry, this bride chose a multi-colored choker with dropping pearls and a pearl layered necklace along with it. The floral wreath with Somi ki Mehendi was amazingly designed. The dance performances, Somi’s customized kaleeras having Yash’s name on them and all the men with #SomisaidYash Mehendi on their hands made the highlight of this event.
The Poolside Resort Themed Haldi Party
Mayfair Hotel in Raipur is one of the top listed wedding resorts in Raipur. The location justifies this poolside resort-themed Haldi party so well that you won’t even blink eyes while scrolling through their Haldi pictures. Haldi decor has to have marigold flowers necessarily, after then only we get that aesthetic vibe. At this Mayfair Raipur Wedding’s Haldi party, you could get to see such decor everywhere.
Again, setting off the ordinary Haldi outfits, Somi wore a mustard sequined saree with a velvet blouse, which she further accessorized with a Sabyasachi buckle belt. Quite impressing her Punjabi in-laws, she carried the Punjabi traditional pink and golden gota patti jewelry along with it. Yash went for a mustard kurta with a white pajama for this event.
A Smashing Pool Party before the Royal Mayfair Raipur Wedding
Being at one of the finest wedding venues in Raipur, how can one forget the pool event. Following the Haldi event, a crazy pool party event started. Like any other pool party, this one too had guests roaming around with flower wreaths, shades, and floral clothes. Somi chose a pastel blue lehenga with minimal silver shimmer and floral choli designed by Nidhi Mehra for this event.
Black & Pearl IIFA Themed Sangeet & Engagement
The most elegant and royal event of this Mayfair Raipur wedding was this Bollywood award night themed Sangeet night. All the guests dressed up heavily for this event. All through the while, we’ve been seeing Yash surprising her lady love and making her feel special. This time too, it’s the same! At their sangeet, Yash had a solo performance on Kudiye ni choreographed by Goldy and his team.
Like any princess in love, Somi seemed magnificent in her silver outfit designed by Dolly J. Yash went for a green sherwani embellished with golden embroidery by Shantanu & Nikhil for this event. At their engagement moment, she went on knees and exchanged rings designed by AT Jewellers in Raipur. The aesthetic decor by dream decorators was something to keep looking at.
The Lakeside Musical Pheras for this Mayfair Raipur Wedding
While you get to see amazing fire shows at night time weddings, day time weddings have their own charm. At this destination wedding in Raipur, the charm got multiplied ten times during the lakeside musical pheras that took place on the tunes of the famous folk singer, Kishore Manraja, and his team from Mumbai.
Since it was a daytime wedding, all the attendants wore pastel-colored outfits. Somi wore a pastel pink lehenga with golden embroidery by Sudhir Bhai Saree Wala and carried a pink net dupatta along with it. To complement her look, Yash wore the same colored sherwani designed by Study by Janak. From golden matha Patti to pearl choker, our Jain bride kept the jewelry subtle.
Classic Palatial-Themed Wedding Reception
After the grand festivities of Mayfair Raipur Wedding, Somi and Yash hosted a classic palatial-themed wedding reception at Hukam’s Lalit Mahal in Raipur. With Somi rocking a glamorous red gown designed by Payal Keyal and Yash complimenting her in a designer black tuxedo by Gaurav Gupta, the power couple seemed to be glowing with happiness at this event. A grand performance by a team of sitarists from Mumbai and the lovely Instant Edited Video of the wedding by Ombre by Harsheen Jammu, wedding photographers in Delhi, playing at this event made it all the more amazing.
This grand Mayfair Raipur wedding finally concluded with a delivery of a Wedding magazine, that had all the main highlights of the wedding, along with a sweet box from Dadu’s Hyderabad to each room at Mayfair Hotel Raipur, where the couple’s guests were staying.
A Honeymoon to remember post-Mayfair Raipur Wedding!
It’s not over yet! After so many days of merrymaking, the couple decided to have a week-long relaxation. Out of all the honeymoon destinations, they chose Dubai and Maldives. Picked up from the list of top 10 resorts in Maldives for honeymoon, Taj Exotica proved to be the best beach resort in the Maldives for honeymoon. Here in the Maldives, they roamed around places, had amazing food, and of course spent a lovely time together. After landing in Dubai, they had their very first skydiving experience, went on fancy dates at Burj Khalifa, and didn’t even miss the annual shopping festival of Dubai.
