From the young age of 5, Vidya always wanted to be a makeup artist. Even today when she is a mother of two children, she feels she can think of doing anything else but makeup. She has the tenacity and talent in bringing up the best look through makeup. She says that “there are certain things which are needed to sculpt a flawless makeup look. The necessity of a good primer and a foundation should not be ruled out. Apart from that black liner and fake eyelashes, a nontransferable liquid lipstick is a must. Along with this do not forget to get high arched and thick eyebrows”

2. The Upcoming Trend

Every year the wedding season brings new colours and styles. Many styles are adopted from Bollywood and at times even Hollywood or the fashion abroad is adopted easily in India. This year, as Vidya predicts, there might be an upcoming trend of the Bajirao Mastani look of Deepika Padukone. She personally loves this style. She says, “this might be a wonderful idea for a day wedding. Very subtle yet endearing.”

Also, as everything these days is glittering, with glitter in eye makeup and blush, Vidya feels that the foreign trend of glittering lips may soon catch on here. This might make up a flashy night look.

3. The Makeup Dossier

Vidya has a sensible and veritable guide for all women about make up. Whether you are a bride or already married of single, this advice will be always helpful. She says that “Just like fashion, the make-up trends change but it is not necessary to always follow trends. Never copy anyone nor run after any trend. You need to learn over a period of time which makeup style looks good on you based on your skin type, face type and body type. And when you find that perfect one, just stick to it. You might go over the board once in a while but the idea is stick to the basics.”
