Aparna & Arnav’s destination engagement party at the JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove, was nothing less than picture-perfect! The dreamy garden-theme engagement decor blended excellently with the landscape of Mussoorie. From rustic decor elements such as wooden photo wall and enchanting timbered arbor to subtle bohemian touches with foliage aisle, glass terrariums, pastel floral lineup & lanterns, every single element was beautifully styled & planned by Whistling Teels. The backdrops indeed added to the whimsical tropical vibes of the venue. 

While we absolutely loved the idea of a garden themed décor setup for a destination engagement party at a location as nature rich as Mussoorie, we are in complete awe, how the charm was perfectly captured by Cupid Love Stories.

Hosted while maintaining all the safety precautions, our bride and groom rocked their matching designer masks at this intimate destination engagement party attended by less than 50 guests. Along with the implementation of some of the most incredible engagement decoration ideas, the live musical performances by Indian Idol contestant Gurpreet Singh and numerous family dance performances made this ring ceremony all the more fun and entertaining.

Meet Aparna and Arnav

‘If it is meant to be, it will be.’ Our bride and groom – Aparna and Arnav’s relationship is an epitome example of this famous quote. While this duo met in college and have known each other ever since, their relationship has simply been platonic. That is until a couple of years down the lane when their families happened to meet and get along with each other. And that was the start to their ever-loving and beautiful relationship and the planning of their Dehradun wedding. But hindrance to their plans came in the form of the unforeseeable COVID lockdown. It was then that they decided to anyways go ahead and have a small but beautiful destination engagement party while following all the safety protocol.

• Engagement Venue: We chose JW Marriott as the venue because of all the scenic beauty that it offered & all the safety precautions they take. They were amazing with their service & hospitality. E. The entire staff wore masks, gloves & face shields to ensure safety. I give them 5/5.
• Event Stylist & Planner: It was all looked after by Whistling Teel. Everything was well arranged by Gaurav, who happens to be the founder of the company. He also looked after all the safety & sanitation arrangements. He was there to coordinate everything throughout the event and everything from food preparation to serving was checked for proper hygiene. There was a photo booth as well with our pictures on it and they did it beautifully. 
• Bridal Makeup Artist: The makeup artist was from Reshma Makeovers based in Dehradun and she sanitized the entire room of her parlor in front of my eyes. She wore masks & sanitized her hands properly before doing my nail art & makeup.
• Wedding Photographers: Cupid Love Stories were amazing. We were absolutely satisfied. They did take all precautions from their side. They wore masks & ensured safety while shooting.
