What could be more adventurous than flying a thousand miles and then trekking for another 1000 miles for getting hitched? Different people have different plans for making their wedding special, but this couple did something truly different to amaze the entire world. The couple James Sissom, 35, and Ashley Schmieder, 32 are the residents of California. As per our adventurous couple “a traditional wedding was not the right fit” for them. So, They decided to elope to the top of the world. After a year of planning, they braved to bear the freezing temperature, altitude sickness, and arduous terrain. Even the sub-zero temperature didn’t stop them from adoring their beautiful wedding dress. The bride looked stunning in her white gown and the groom wore a smart tux.

To start this unforgettable journey, James and Ashley flew from California to Kathmandu and then from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. Then From Lukla started the most adventurous and most awaited walk of their life to the Everest. The couple had the most amazing pre-wedding shoot on the beautiful though hazardous alleyway to the top of the world. After trekking for thousands of miles and for about three weeks, the couple finally reached the base camp.

Finally, James and Ashley exchanged their wedding vows on March 16, 2017, at the south base camp of Mt. Everest that lies in Nepal and is located at an altitude of 17,500 feet. No décor would ever be able to beat the beautiful décor that James and Ashley had chosen. They tied their wedding knot right in front of the Khumbu icefall. They had exquisitely engraved Nuptse Face in the backdrop. Their classic nuptial was encircled by many famous mountains.
