Having met through mutuals in London where Aakriti was pursuing her studies and Hitesh was working, this City of Dreams oversaw these two going through numerous stages, from strangers to friends and finally lovers. While fate did play its hand when Aakriti had to move back to Mumbai after her studies got over, these two managed to defeat the common notion that says, long-distance relations don’t work. With lots of travelling, back and forth between London and Mumbai, their love for each other only continued to grow and finally led to them tying the knot with a royal ITC Grand Bharat Wedding.
Romantic Getaway? Check. Perfect partner? Check. Exceptional Ambience, ideal location, and surprise proposal? Check, check, and check! Knowing how much Aakriti wanted to visit Cappadocia with her partner, Hitesh turned her dream into reality by taking her on a surprise trip to Cappadocia and popping the question. Our bride relays how while she knew that this moment will be magical, the magnitude of it was something she couldn’t have possibly imagined.
They then went ahead and chose a beautiful solid solitaire ring together. Following this was a lovely post-proposal shoot near some hidden Turkish lantern stores and in the nook of the Love valley, where they enjoyed an amazing hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia Turkey.
Before the grand ITC Grand Bharat wedding, our bride and groom decided that they wanted to get a lavish pre-wedding shoot at this luxury hotel. Giving insights into their ITC Grand Bharat pre wedding shoot price details & experience, Aakriti says, “ITC grand Bharat was really good & co-operative. Usually they charge extra money for the pre wedding shoot to be done, but because we booked the entire property, including their presidential villa for 2 days, they allowed us to do the shoot. Also they suggest you a day when the property occupancy is low, so that one is more comfortable in shooting.”
So, making the best use of the varied ITC Grand Bharat rooms along with the corridors and pool area, Aakriti and Hitesh let their photogenic side show with these exceptional photographs captured in four different outfits and locations of the hotel.
Can a luxury destination wedding be complete without a fun bachelorette party? Well, the answer to that is definitely negative! So, Aakriti along with 4 of her closest friends from London as well as India set out to have a crazy fun Bachelorette party in Marbella, Spain. From amazing day outs to beach clubs, Air BnB, restaurants, city center to having lovely bachelorette photoshoots, and getting buzzed, these girls did it all before the ITC Grand Bharat wedding festivities began.
From dainty floral wreaths to colorful drapes, kites, quirkily printed dance floor, tassel hangings, flower props, and beautiful pink decor, Aakriti and Hitesh’s Mehendi function was the definition of exotic and vibrant. The grandeur was beautifully captured by one of the best destination wedding photographers in Delhi, Atul Pratap Chauhan. Hosted in the front lawn of ITC Grand Bharat, Gurgaon, it definitely gave full justice to their chosen theme of the event – ‘Colourful and Pink’. A special dance performance by the bride and echoing dhol beats of a dhol group from Chandigarh were further the highlight of this event.
Oh, and how can we possibly forget about the food? Whether it is a maggie stall, Indian food like Mughlai or Continental cuisine, this Delhi Destination wedding’s Mehendi Ceremony went above and beyond when it comes to serving variety to its guests. Further, Aakriti adorned an exquisite peach and white embroidered lehenga designed by Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor. Hitesh, on the other hand, complimented her bride in a turquoise and white designer kurta suit.
As for Mehendi, this minimalist bride went for applying henna sporting dulha and dulhan motifs on just her hands. And wedding favors for the guests included quirky accessories like Haath fools and Lakh ka Kada. So, it would suffice to say that the first event of this luxury ITC Grand Bharat Wedding started with a bang (or well, with dhol beats)!
Upholding the grandeur and royalty of the Palace destination wedding in Gurgaon, the couple decided to hold a High Tea post the Mehendi function; kind of like a sundowner with in-house DJ & Dhol players. Arranged at a place near Yamuna Ghat in ITC Grand Bharat Gurgaon itself, this venue was a beautiful sight and an ideal destination for a low-key event like this.
Giving off a full-on fairytale wedding vibe was Hitesh and Aakriti’s Cocktail Party, with its decor oozing glitz and glamour. With stunning chandeliers, cascading shimmery hangings & LED-lit ‘Shots before the Knot’ sign at the bar, this black and gold themed decor in the Prithvi ballroom of the hotel made up a classy cocktail party. It further featured the couple making unique entry with Russian models, heart touching speeches given by the groom and his best man, a brief ring ceremony, fun dance performances, afro drums beats, stand up comedy by the ace comedian Raju Shrivastav, and constant amazing music by DJ Sumit Sethi.
For this event, Hitesh rocked an Emporio Armani suit and Aakriti looked like a Disney princess in her pale golden Sulakshana Monga Cocktail gown. Also, the couple along with their friends and families took full advantage of various cuisines on the menu including English, Rajasthani, Middle Eastern, Mongolian, and Mughlai. Going on till later hours of the night (or early morning, we could say), this ITC Grand Bharat Wedding Cocktail was definitely a massive hit.
The Pool-side Haldi Ceremony of this Destination Wedding in Manesar is pure goals! From the aesthetic all yellow & white decor to the lovely entry of the bride with her brother on the echoes of dhol beats with a floral umbrella, it was all super unique and all the more amazing. Since the groom is not much into traditions, he had a small haldi separately at the Yamuna Ghat space of the hotel, while our Punjabi bride Aakriti went all out and followed every tradition from Pooja, Chooda, to Kaleera ceremony. With Hitesh joining in later, the couple then enjoyed a lovely Marigold flower shower instead of going all out with Haldi.
Aakriti wore an elegant yellow lehenga by Akilah with a blush pink dupatta along with it. She further completed her look with beautiful pink floral jewelry. Hitesh went with chalk-white kurta pajama tuned with an ethnic jacket accentuating intricate golden embroidery designed by Aditya Sachdeva. The ITC Grand Bharat food menu for this event entailed delicious Punjabi food like Makke Ki Roti, Sarso ka Saag, etc. and it ended with the couple gifting their guests lovely bandhani dupattas.
The next High Tea for this Delhi destination wedding included more of typical Indian foods like Vada Pav, Pakode, etc. and it took place at the ‘Hub’ in ITC Grand Bharat, Gurgaon. Also, Sehra Bandi for the guests took place simultaneously along with this Night Tea.
Finally, the much-awaited night rolled around and it came with a lot of excitement, nervousness, happiness, and overwhelming emotions. Making amazing use of varied ITC Grand Bharat facilities, the combined wedding and reception took place in the 2 front lawns of the hotel; with one of them entirely reserved for mandap. Piano and Saxophone artists along with traditional instrumental music set an ecstatic vibe for the event. With the theme being Sabyasachi, the entire grounds of this ITC Grand Bharat wedding had been decorated exceptionally in red, golden, and whites by best wedding decorators in Delhi, Ferns N Petals.
Aakriti wore a stunning Rajputana bridal lehenga designed by Sulakshana Monga, which had beautiful Rajputana symbols and motifs and coupled it with a belt and a statement jewelry set. On the other hand, our groom sported a designer beige-colored sherwani set by Aditya Sachdeva and carried a stylish maroon velvet stole with it. With Hitesh in a royal chariot, the baarat took an entire roll of the beautiful ITC mainland that looked magical with lighting all over the place. Whereas Aakriti went for a traditional entry under Phoolon Ki Chaadar with fireworks and cold pyros around her.
Setting high standards for future weddings, the Varmala ceremony of this Destination wedding in Manesar featured a mesmerizing view of ITC facade in background and fireworks, roses, and dhol beats adding to making the moment even more special and memorable. Since more than 50 friends of the couple had flown over from NYC, Montreal, Europe, Singapore & other parts of the world, this ITC Grand Bharat wedding had a plethora of cuisine dishes, ranging from Lucknowi cuisine, Awadhi food, ITC-speciality Peshawari & Bukhara cuisines, Amritsari, and Mughalai to all sorts of Indian and cultural foods.
Finally, this 2-day luxury ITC Grand Bharat Wedding concluded with love and blessings from many and the couple bidding the guests goodbye and showing their gratitude by gifting them a unique gold brass candle stand with lotus-sculpted diyas.
